Angler Construction Completes 133,000 sq. ft. Design and Build Project for T&L Distributing
Houston, Texas, United States
Angler Construction is proud to announce that it has recently completed the new headquarters facility for T&L Distributing, at the corner of West Little York and Langfield in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1972, T&L Distributing is one of the United States’ largest distributors of flooring products, with regional distribution centers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. This facility will serve as their corporate headquarters and Houston distribution center for the several lines of flooring products they distribute.
Completed in August 2012, the facility has a building footprint of 125,000 sq. ft., with 25,000 sq. ft. of two-story, high-finish office space and 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse/ distribution floor space. The warehouse area was designed to satisfy the City of Houston requirements for high-pile/haz-materials. The Angler Construction team worked closely with the owner, architects at Powers Brown Architecture and outside engineers to streamline the process from preliminary design through permitting into construction, allowing Angler to keep the project on schedule and under budget. The entire project was completed in 12 months, with 9 months of actual construction time, at a cost of $5.5 million.
“We were very pleased to be able to complete this project on time and within the original budget.” stated Angler President and Founder Torrey Hawkins. “Our goal at Angler is always to work closely with the client throughout the life of the project to meet their unique needs, and this facility is a prime example of the exceptional results this approach will produce.” he continued.
“Throughout the entire planning and building process, Angler was available for questions and consultation, and were very responsive to any concerns we had.” said Bob Thomas, Chairman of T&L Distributing. “We couldn’t be more proud of the quality building they constructed.”
