Thomas “Torrey” Hawkins
Founder & President
Torrey Hawkins has more than 20 years of experience in commercial construction and development. He graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing, started working in construction and grew Angler Construction into a $85M company. Torrey is responsible for the daily activities, success, and growth of 20 office employees. He works side – by – side with project managers to ensure all project objectives are met and customers are 100% satisfied. In 2014 Torrey was recognized as one of Houston’s 40 under 40 and continues to get Angler Construction on Houston Business Journal’s Fast 100 List. Torrey is married to his wife Caroline, and together they have three children. In his free time Torrey enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing, hunting, and golfing.
Vice President, Commercial Operations
Jason Atherton has over 28 years of industry experience. He achieves success through developing strong partnerships and building rapport with clients, architects, engineers and members of his project teams. As Vice President of Construction Operations, Jason is responsible for monitoring the production and quality of all work and ensuring projects and team members have the resources necessary for a safe and successful project. In his free time Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Director of Pre - Construction, Site Utilities Division
Michael Reed has over 25 years of combined experience in commercial plumbing and civil construction. He brings a unique combination of experiences and knowledge to the Angler team that allow him to advise and train our Project Managers on proper procedures and project requirements. As Director of Pre – Construction Michael is responsible for all communications with project owners regarding scheduling, safety, billing, budget, and turnover. In his free time Michael enjoys spending time with his wife & kids, fishing, and hunting.
Director of Construction, Corporate Interiors
Fred Rose has over 30 years of knowledge and experience in construction project management. He specializes in Interior Projects, where he is responsible for all day – to – day operations in coordination with the superintendent and sub – contractors. When Fred is not at work he enjoys bicycling, throwing knives & hatchets, and doing woodshop projects with his granddaughters.
Devin Valenta, LEED AP BD+C, Assoc. DBIA
Director of Construction, Commercial
Devin Valenta has nearly 10 years of construction experience and over $100M in new construction and renovation projects completed. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Construction Management Technology and uses his knowledge to advise and assist Project Managers on all projects. In his free time, you can find Devin fishing, or cheering on the Astros or The Oklahoma State University Cowboys.
Senior Project Manager, Industrial
Adam Hissong has nine years experience in the construction industry with a focus over multiple market sectors including retail, military, municipality, K – 12 and most recently our industrial/distribution tilt – wall warehouses. He has completed over $90M in construction projects. Adam graduated from Pittsburg State University in Construction Management. In his spare time, Adam enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes

Kyle Henderson began his construction career here at Angler in 2017 after studying Industrial Distribution and Business at Texas A&M University. He was quickly promoted to Project Manager and now coordinates all aspects of his projects, from estimating and bids to quality control. When Kyle is not working, he can be found bird hunting or saltwater fishing.

Jasper Ybarra has worked in construction for nearly 20 years and is experienced in all elements of the industry. He graduated from The University of Houston with a degree in Civil Engineering. Jasper is currently serving as a Project Manager where he oversees the daily operations of the jobsite and ensures all projects stay on schedule. When Jasper is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and watching sports.
Assistant Project Manager, Interiors
Brett Dishman has a background in industrial commercial real estate brokerage, which made him a great addition to our commercial interiors team. His passion to deliver on client needs and commitment to projects has led to a seamless transition. He is involved in the Houston Second Baptist Church and the Houston Delta Waterfowl committee. When he is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as saltwater fishing and bird hunting.
Assistant Project Manager
Alex Aitken is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where he studied Construction Science and interned at two commercial construction companies. He is currently working as an Assistant Project Manager, training and assisting the project management team on various projects and estimates. In his spare time, Alex enjoys fly fishing and hunting.
